On the streets of glory let me lift my voice,
Cares all past, home at last, ever to rejoice.

Summertime in Niagara County is the perfect time to be outdoors! Whether it’s catching a cool mist while standing next to the mighty falls, or experiencing the many historic-attractions, festivals or live music, Niagara USA is full of s/excitement!

July 2009 marked the 250th anniversary of the Siege of Niagara during the French and India War. Old Fort Niagara held special activities all summer, including the signature event on July 3-5. The largest event of its kind in the world this year, the re-enactment of the siege attracted over 2,300 re-enactors from across the United States. The weekend long event also featured fireworks, battle demonstrations, military forces and crafts. They drew me to their special events too.

For music lover, Niagara County is the place for you! June 9 was the start of Artpark’s “First Niagara Tuesday in the Park,” —free concert series.

Niagara County can get hot in the summer, so be sure to cool off in Niagara Falls State Park on the Maid of the Mist Boat tour (with blue waterproof poncho) or on the Hurricane Deck at Cave of the Winds (with yellow waterproof poncho). If you’re a thrill-seeker, you can shoot the rapids on the whirlpool Jet Boat Tour or, if you prefer a more leisurely ride, enjoy a lazy cruise on the historic Erie Canal.

There’s fun for all. And this lady was so charmful-looking for me while we were on board together the Maid of the Mist, with my pounding heart I just took her snap while she seemed unaware of it! Look at her ring-finger —she wore a wedding ring! Oh, No! My gosh!
