      MARYLAND : Tribes in the past : Conoy (or Kanawha), Piscataway and Nanticoke. Now, no tribes.

      Names : Chesapeake Bay is the “great salty bay.” Pocomoke means “broken by knolls.” Takoma Park means “mountain park.” Piscataway is named for the tribe.
